I am available for demonstrating to small groups. I can share history and lifestyle of women in the past while teaching/demonstrating tatting(lace making), shearing, spinning, or general wool preparations. Let me know what you are looking for and we can put something together. I would be happy to come as the modern day country girl that I am, or as an historical re-enactor in full 1790's or 1850's costume and persona.

Each year I and my family participate in several re-enactments and demonstrations around the state of Minnesota.  The main one I am involved in is History Fest which takes place near Mankato the 2nd weekend of Oct. each year.  If you would like to come visit you will find me in the log cabin spinning and tatting....
or outside shearing the sheep in the same way our ancesters did, with old fashioned blade shears.   There are many other things to see and do there also.  Here are some pictures of my family participating in other things...

Grandma and Aunt Dolores doing needlearts in the cabin.  Aimée, helping with pottery.   Viking Jeff practicing his archery.

Farmamerica
Farmamerica is a Minnesota Agricultural Interpretive Center. Each year they host another event that I attend called Peddler's Grove.  Click the link to find out more about this fun event.  (Sorry, I do not have pictures.)

Sugar on Snow
This is a new event that I am attending in February of 2009.  I will be preparing and spinning flax fiber (linen).  They do not have a website but I will add details as I can.
